Mystic is located as subdivisions of both Groton and Stonington. It surrounds the Mystic river which feeds into Long Island Sound. The four parts are, Mystic, Old Mystic, West Mystic and Historic Mystic. Most of the residence are full time residence though, the tourist population swells during the summer months. A popular vacation destination, Mystic has had several movies filmed in town along with destinations like the Mystic Seaport, Mystic Aquarium and a close proximity to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun.
Mystic Real Estate has many options for prospective buyers. There is waterfront property and water views of the Mystic River and Long island Sound. There are a number of options for condominiums in Groton Mystic or Stonington Mystic. Older Buildings have been remodeled and new buildings have been constructed. There are a lot of different condo complexes in Mystic, so be very clear as what you want. It might be best for you to use the contact feature so that you can give me more details. Important questions to answer are how many bedrooms are you looking for? Do you have any pets? What kind and their sizes? Are you a smoker? What style are you looking for, Ranch, Townhouse, Colonial, Converted building, etc. Be careful when you ask for a new building in south east CT because some very nice condos have been made out of historic buildings. They may be only a few years old, but the age will still say their original building date.
Historically Mystic has always been a commercial town. The Historic Mystic Seaport is still open to the public. Originally a whaling and fishing village it now has lots of smaller retail shops and offices. The commercial seen is filled with marinas and other water related attractions. Most of its business is seasonal when summer vacationers come to visit.
