The ocean breezes and 180 degree views of Fishers Island Sound all the way out to Long Island are just breathtaking. There is a huge window in the living room that lets the natural light fill the building. There is clean, comfortable furniture inside and outside. It is not a new house but it has many of the modern comforts. There is central air on the first floor and in the master bedroom. However, you really don’t seem to need it with the cool breezes constantly flowing through the house.

In 2013, the owners installed a large oceanfront deck that leads directly onto the boardwalk and beach. This space has so many possibilities from sunbathing, enjoying a novel or just people watching all the way down Main Beach. For a romantic sunset you could dine alfresco by candle-light while the waves quietly break just feet away from your table.
For the limited days when it is not beach weather, there are plenty of nooks for friends and family to spread out. The first floor family room has separation from the enclosed porch. The street side of the house has a covered exterior deck and in interior office away from everyone else. This room is perfect for games or quiet reading. There is one smaller bedroom on the first floor and this could be used for those who can only do a limited number of stairs or as an additional private entertaining space.
The second floor of this year round Groton Long Point Rental Cottage includes the master bedroom on the ocean side of the house with a 2nd floor deck and waterfront views. This deck allows for a more private beachfront experience up and away from other guests. Two additional bedrooms are on the road side of the house.
The Third floor has some of the best views of the house. The ceilings are a little low but it is perfect for your overflow guests in addition to a place far away from late night entertaining that may be going on in the living room.
