Stonington is the southeastern-most part of New London County. Stonington is divided into several towns and associations including Pawcatuck, Stonington Borough, Lords Point, Latimer Point, Masons Island, Mystic, and Old Mystic. Established as a number of whaling villages, it is still known for its fishing and lobstering industry.
Stonington Real Estate is zoned less commercial than some of its neighboring towns so there are more restrictions on what you can build. It has preserved the New England look and Mom-and-Pop hometown stores. Stonington waterfront property is mostly a part of the smaller villages listed above.
